Getting Started

Welcome to the Web Accessibility Skinny. On this site, you will learn the basic building blocks of accessible web design. While this resource focuses specifically on web accessibility, much of what we will cover crosses over the elements one would use to make software applications and electronic documents accessible to individuals.

This website provides a testing platform for students taking CEHD's EDIT 526 course - Web Accessibility and Design. This course supports students learning basic web accessibility design principles.

How to Use this Resource

In each section of this website, you will be presented with the following:

some information defining the importance of these making these web structures accessible. both accessible and inaccessible examples of web structures. You will also be provided with the underlying code, which demonstrates how to make these elements accessible to assistive technologies.
